Every year, students at Tilburg University elect who may represent them in the University Council. This year, Front has 6 of the 9 seats in the University. Council!

𝐖𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐛𝐛𝐞𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝!🎓

Hobbee organises the inclusivity week at Tilburg University in which they introduce students to physical disabilities and let them experience what it is like to have a physical disability. They do this through various activities.

This year, for the first time, they presented the Student Social Impact Award that front initiated. With this award, we want to recognise students for their exceptional social contributions and inspire them to continue their commitment to society in the future.

We are proud to have been able to present this award together with the jury to Hobbee and wish them every success with this great initiative!🎖️

This morning we had our fourth University Council! We discussed, among other things, the Enrollment and Tuition Fee Regulations 2025/2026, the advice of the Advisory Committee on Collaboration and we handed in a Memo!

This year, the Student Social Impact Award will be presented for the first time. With this award, we want to recognise students for their exceptional social contributions and inspire them to continue their commitment to society.

The award is given to a student or a group of students who have distinguished themselves through social involvement alongside their studies. The emphasis is on creating a connection between the university and society.

The winner takes care of his or her direct or indirect environment in a unique way, thus embodying the values of ‘Caring & Connected’. This can be interpreted broadly.

It includes, for example, the project’s impact on society, its positive impact on the student community and the extent to which the initiative is sustainable. Whether small, meaningful gestures or large-scale initiatives, this award provides a podium for students who make a difference with their efforts.

Hi, I’m @mrtn.kas . As ‘Fractievoorzitter’ (daily board), I am member of all three preparatory committees of the University Council. Because of this, I can tell you everything about all the political issues concerning Tilburg University. I keep myself busy with various dossiers about for instance policy and strategy.
